Custodial Services Bid Information
Rural Retreat United Methodist Church is seeking a Church Custodian to clean and disinfect all church facilities (Sanctuary, Fellowship Hall, Classrooms, Nursery, Offices and Epworth House) on a weekly basis.
Weekly Services Include:
1. Sweeping and cleaning the Fellowship Hall and Main Entrances
2. Vacuuming all carpets and picking up trash inside and outside the facilities
3. Sweeping and dust mopping all floors
4. Emptying all trash containers and taking trash to disposal center
5. Replacing garbage bags in the bathroom, kitchen, and Fellowship Hall weekly, and others as needed, combining bags of trash if necessary
6. Cleaning all halls, corridors, steps, offices, drinking fountains, and bathrooms
7. Ensuring all bathrooms are cleaned with deodorizers and appropriate cleaners and stocked with a full supply of soap, toilet paper and paper towels
8. Wet mopping Bathroom, Epworth House, and Nursery floors. Wet mopping the Fellowship Hall floors if needed.
9. Dusting pews in Sanctuary and overflow room, dust Communion Rail, piano, and organ, straighten hymnals, and pick up old bulletins etc.
10. Providing a list of paper and cleaning supplies to the church office for purchasing as needed
11. Dusting windowsills
Monthly services include:
1. Dust and clean wood baseboards
2. Wet mop Fellowship Hall floors
3. Clean all Fellowship Hall Windows
Other cleaning tasks may be assigned by the Church’s One Committee, Pastor, or Secretary. Additional cleaning services for special events such as wedding, funerals, birthday parties etc. and other services such as waxing hard floors shall be offered and priced separately.
