DAVID PAYNE

Lead Pastor

David became the pastor of Rural Retreat UMC in July 2022. Prior to that, he served as Lead Pastor at Mt. Vale and Savannah UMC’s in Galax, VA since August 2017, and as Associate Pastor of Out of the Box UMC in Hillsville, VA since July 2014. David completed his Masters of Divinity Degree through Asbury Theological Seminary and his Doctorate in Ministry degree in Evangelism and Church Planting through Liberty University. David enjoys sports, reading, but most importantly spending time with his family and friends. Email Pastor David
