CHILDREN CHECK IN SYSTEM — we are excited to begin using our New Kids Check In System. The Check In Station is located outside Pastor David’s Office. We will have someone there for a few weeks to help everyone get comfortable with it and to answer any questions.

YOUTH 5th QUARTER — Friday, October 24th at the Rural Retreat Community Center Pavilion after the RRHS Football Game. Looking for Volunteers to hang out, play games, and serve food. Monetary donations or donations of desserts and drinks are greatly appreciated. If you can help, please let Michaela Fiscus know.

NEXT STEPS TOY DRIVE PLANNING MEETING — Thursday, October 16th at 5:30 PM. If you’re planning on helping with this event or interested in joining the Toy Drive team this year, please plan on being at this meeting. If interested but unable to attend, please let Meredith Fiscus or Michael Spraker know.

FREE COMMUNITY TOY DRIVE — We are beginning to Collect toys, ages Infant to 18 years for our Free Community Toy Drive. This year we will be collecting NEW Toys only. There will be a collection bin at the Main Entrance. We will have a Meeting in early Oct. to begin planning. Please consider joining the Toy Drive team this year.

WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY — Women of the Word (WOW) meets Every 2nd and 4th Tuesdays in the Fellowship Hall at 11 AM. All women are invited to attend! If you have questions, see Julie Lloyd.

SPOOKTACULAR — Friday, October 31st. If interested in setting up a spot, please let Ginny Smith know. We need donations of individually wrapped pieces of candy.

LORD’S ACRE SALE — Saturday, October 11th at the Rural Retreat Community Center. We are looking for donations of Handmade, Homegrown, and Homemade Items to sell.

CAREGIVER SUPPORT GROUP — For anyone providing care or supportive assistance, whether an aging parent, family member in addiction or recovery, a loved one with an illness, or someone who depends on your support. Offering a 10-week, hybrid In-person meeting at RRUMC and Zoom Link provided if unable to attend in person. Meeting Every Monday beginning October 13 @ 7 PM. BLOODMOBILE — Tuesday, October 14th from Noon-6 PM at the Rural Retreat Community Center.

YOUTH FLAMINGO FUNDRAISER — the Youth is holding their Flamingo Flocking Fundraiser. This will run from Sept 29 - Nov 2. The suggested cost is $25. If you’re interested in having someone’s yard flocked, fill out the form on the table outside of Pastor David’s Office.

SOPRANOS NEEDED — We are in desperate need of more Sopranos for two music specials. One at the end of October and one for Christmas. See Ginny if you can help.
