CAPITAL CAMPAIGN — We are beginning a Capital Campaign to raise money for heating and cooling units for the Nursery and Church Offices. To date, we’ve raised $10,604.24 of the $13,000 Goal.

CHILDREN CHECK IN SYSTEM — we are excited to begin using our New Kids Check In System next Sunday, July 6th. This will allow us to increase the safety of our children in aligning with Safe Sanctuary Practices. The Check In Station is located at the Bulletin Board across from the Church Offices. We will have someone there for a few weeks to help everyone get comfortable with it and to answer any questions. We will use this system for Sunday School, including the Nursery, and for Children’s Church.

FALL LAITY RETREAT — August 22nd-23rd at Pipestem Resort in Pipestem, WV. Enjoy great fellowship with a time of learning and spiritual growth with Bishop Debra Wallace-Padgett as she teaches and leads the weekend. This event is joint event of both the West Virginia and Holston Conferences. Registration for this event is $10. Dinner on Friday and lunch on Saturday will be provided. SERVICE AT THE LAKE — We will have our annual Service at the Lake at the Rural Retreat Lake on August 17th at 11AM at Shelter 3. We will share a potluck meal after the service. There is a sign up sheet on the table outside of Pastor David’s office to help coordinate the meal.

BISHOP AT RRUMC — Bishop Wallace-Padgett will be attending RRUMC on August 24th and will be preaching for us that day. We will have a combined worship service that day @ 10 AM with a Fellowship Meal to follow.

DISTRICT DAY WITH THE BISHOP — August 26th @ St. Paul UMC. Clergy Session: 5PM, Laity Session: 6PM, Worship: 7PM with Small Groups Following.
